Happy Easter to those who celebrate!
What surprised me was to learn that the Stock Market is closed on Good Friday every year, since Easter is a large marketing opportunity for retailers.
Thousands of Easter Sales are going on as I type, which will now turn to After-Easter Sales to attract more customers looking to save on left-over products on the shelves. Sale prices will continue with many companies after Easter passes over.
As for Easter, I commented to a customer at Goodwill about Good Friday celebrating the execution of Jesus Christ, and it not seeming to be so good to me for Him to have been killed. Of course she explained that it is celebrated because Jesus died on the cross for our sins. Now that is one thing, but I still cannot figure out what little chickens and rabbits have to do with Easter?
Beside that, I don’t know of any rabbits that lay eggs either but Easter Eggs and milk chocolate rabbits have been around for decades, long before the stock market began trading for profits. I am hoping to find After-Easter Sale Prices on Stocks. 🙂
