I reduced my electronic security risks by consistently updating the different security apps I use for my phone and other electronic devices and platforms needed for me to participate in online activities.
The YouTube video I link shows part of the process, where I recently learned to use Microsoft’s BitLocker to add passwords to external drives. Much faster ways are available when using a new flash drive and computer. Before I begin the process, once I plug in the flash drive, I use one of my security apps to scan it for malware, then I follow the necessary step to encrypt the flash drive with BitLocker. Once I go through that process, then I can add the password to lock the flash drive or external drive to prevent from picking up the drive and access my personal and professional information without a struggle.

Personally, I recommend using BitLocker or something similar to protect stored electronic data. I can download photos or any data to transfer to the external storage unit, and if needed, delete the information or photos from my device, after removing the external device I used to backup and store important content. wtd

I purchased the above 2 TB flash drive on eBay for less than $12, which is a great deal. Other deals may be found on Amazon.com and other sources, such as BrandSmart, but none can compete with what I paid on eBay for the flash drive shown above.
