Happy Mother’s Day Everyday-2021 by Wayne T. Dowdy

Heart Chained by Love Created by Wayne T. Dowdy for the Mothers

Mother’s Day 2021

Happy Mother’s Day to all the special women we call Mother, Mom, and many other variations of names used that represents our love and appreciation for the one who bared the pain and shed their blood to give us life.

COVID-19, other illnesses, accidents, and natural processes caused millions of Mothers to move on to the other side where only spirits can go. But in my opinion, Mothers continue to watch over their children from above. Though helpless in regard to showing love in their special ways, a Mother’s love continues to thrive for the child she lamented for months to bring into existence with the help from the One who gives ALL life.

Heart Chained by Love-2

My Heart Chained by Love goes out to all children and loved ones left behind who miss their loved one, a feeling I know well.

My Future Home with Saints on a Hill

Yesterday I spent time with my brother by visiting where our Mother’s body was placed in the ground in 2016 to rest beside our father and brothers.

We replaced the old flowers with new ones and brushed debris from the markers to show our love to her. Even though she was flawed in many ways, as are all humans, she is our Mother and endured years of pain to care and provide for all her children.

In considering my past, I feel blessed to have had a mother who continued to love me regardless of what I did while living a life I am not proud of; a life that kept me in prison for decades instead of at home to help care for my Mother as she aged and became ill, in need of the same love she had given to her children in the best way she knew how.

Children don’t come with instruction manuals, and with me having Broken-the-Mold when I came out of her womb, I cannot fault her for any errors she may have made as a parent.

She did the best she could and never gave up on me becoming the man she knew I could be, the man I am today as I write this blog in her honor and to pay tribute to all other Mothers who shed blood to give their children life.

For all you Mothers, if no one told you today that they love you, I do. I love you for who God made you to be in this thing we call life. Thank you for your sacrifices.

Just as I wrote in 2020, Every Day is Mothers’ Day!
